Tata Motors has given its popular premium hatchback, the Altroz, a major facelift for 2025. With bold design changes, new features, and powerful engine options, the updated Altroz is aiming straight at the hearts of Indian buyers—and competitors like the Baleno and i20 have reasons to worry.
Tata Altroz New Bold Design
The 2025 Tata Altroz now looks much more modern and aggressive. The front has received a complete makeover with a new gloss black grille, sharp LED headlights, and stylish DRLs that also function as turn indicators. The new Tata logo and 360-degree camera setup add to its premium look.
At the back, the biggest highlight is the connected LED tail lights that give the car a wider and more high-end appearance. The rear design also includes a shark fin antenna, subtle spoiler, and updated rear parking sensors. The new diamond-cut alloy wheels now measure 16 inches, replacing the older 15-inch setup. These design changes are not just cosmetic—they give the Altroz a fresh, sportier identity.
Updated Engine Options with CNG and Diesel Still Available
Tata continues to offer a wide range of engine options in the Altroz facelift. You get the familiar 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 88 PS and 115 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include manual, AMT, and DCA automatic.
There’s also a factory-fitted CNG version with 73.5 PS and 103 Nm of torque, providing better fuel efficiency without compromising on space. Impressively, Tata still offers the 1.5L diesel engine in Altroz—something most competitors have dropped. It delivers 90 PS and a strong 200 Nm of torque, paired with a manual gearbox.
Interior Now More Premium and Loaded With Features
Inside, the 2025 Altroz feels more luxurious than ever. The cabin features a new dashboard with texture patterns, gold finishing, and ambient lights in multiple colours. The 10.25-inch infotainment screen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the touch response is smooth. You also get features like automatic climate control, express cooling, and wireless charging.
The second row has seen improvements too. There’s better under-thigh support, 90° opening doors for easy access, rear AC vents, a flat floor, and a powerful 65W charging socket. Passengers will also find an armrest with cup holders and good overall space.
Safety Features Are Now Standard Across Variants
Safety remains a strong point for Tata. The new Altroz comes with six airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX mounts, and a strong body structure. These features are now standard, ensuring better protection for all occupants.
The instrument cluster is partly digital on lower variants and fully digital on top trims, offering useful details like real-time fuel efficiency, TPMS, power and torque info, and navigation alerts.
